Book of Days - The Mixtape Sessions...

Hi everyone!  The new Book of Days Session has started, and this time the theme is MUSIC!  One of my favorite things in all the world!  Yeayyy!

Each week we are doing a page inspired by a song we love.  The first week my page was inspired by the song "Hello Morning" by Mutlu.  Here's the page...
Michael and I saw Mutlu live a few years back, when he was the warm up at an Amos Lee concert we went to. Now, this song has been playing on my itunes radio station alot and I just love it.

Here are the lyrics:

Hello morning, what you got for me today?
My heart is breaking
Want to spread my wings and fly away

Everybody’s got somewhere to go
They’re knocking on my window
Everybody’s got their place in line
And the coffee’s dark as my dreams last night
I need some of your sweet sunshine

Hello morning, have mercy on me, please
My heart is breaking just give me a chance to breathe
The tears are rolling and it’s getting hard to see
So hello morning, just break it, break it to me gently

Clock alarm rings lazy move my bones and wash my face
A new day dawning
And dreams are made with every step you take

Everybody wants to get away and sail into the sunset
Everybody lives with some regret
You get pulled down by the weight, we’re all slaves anyway
And I can sleep when I’m dead

Hello morning, have mercy on me, please
My heart is breaking just give me a chance to breathe
The tears are rolling and it’s getting hard to see
So hello morning, just break it, break it to me gently

My world may be upside down
But there’s not time to waste right now
I’ve waited for her to come around
I’ve spent a week in bed, I’ve lost my head

Hello morning, have mercy on me, please
My heart is breaking just give me a chance to breathe
The tears are rolling and it’s getting hard to see
So hello morning, just break it, break it to me gently

I'll be back soon with a 100 Day Project Update.  Thanks so much for visiting!

Whew!  That was a lot!  That brings the project up to today.  I'm over 1/4 of the way done!  This is a great way to create - at least for me it is. The daily deadline gives me some needed structure.

I'm changing up my No Excuses Journaling pages a little bit for May.  More on that in an upcoming post.

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!  Thanks so much for visiting, and let me know if you have any questions, okay?
