Hey there friends - I have some exciting news to share with you! I've been invited to design for a brand-new Australian Sketch blog called "Totally Addicted to Sketch!" Yeayyyyy!!!!! How fun is that??!!!! I'm very excited to start on this new adventure! One thing I love about sketch challenges, is that they are fun for scrappers that are just beginning, as well as those that have been at it for a long time. A sketch takes the pressure off - know what I mean? You just pick your photos and papers and go to town! You can stick closely to the sketch, or just use it as a jumping off point - it's all up to you! Anyhoo, the challenges actually start on September 1st, but the blog is already up, and you can go there and see the first sketch now, if you want to! I really hope you stop by and play along, and be sure to mention that I sent you! There's a blinkie in the right hand column so you can go there anytime by clicking on it. =====>
I also started a gallery at scrapbook.com! I love the way they have things organized over there. You get a profile page that you can customize with fun backgrounds, and so many options of what you can do! I put a blinkie in the right-hand column for this too. It's the one that says "my place." If any of you have a gallery over there, let me know and I will make you a friend! Come on over and say hello! P.S. I'm not getting rid of my other galleries - this is just an addition!
There's a big sale going on over at Label Tulip, and after seeing the beautiful things that Julie Fei-Fan Balzer does with their kits, I had to check it out! Alot of the past kits and other things are 50% off! I bought the March kit called "Over the Rainbow." Check it out, how cute is this?!!!...
I've been wanting that particular embroidered ribbon for awhile now, and well, I was a goner for the orange flowers, and that orange-flowered paper!!! I think the sale ends today, so hurry if you want to get in on it!
With all this internet surfing, I'm a little behind on my projects, but I did finish one with my August Studio Calico kit. I did this one to celebrate son Tony's graduation from Business College - we are so proud of him! (click on the image to see it larger)...
Everything I used is from the kit, except the embroidery thread and vellum I used to copy his diploma. I just love that picture of the two of them. Michael looks so proud!
Here's a detail shot...
Next on my project list is an art journal assignment from Dina W's class. I'm off to work on it.
What are you working on these days?
I wish you a Saturday full of inspiration! I'll see you tomorrow, and thanks so much for stopping by!
