Hi everyone:
My goal was to finish my current journal (the grid journal) by the end of May, so that on June 1st I could start my new art journal and smash book - and I did it! There is something I love about coming to the end of a journal, putting a tag on it, and adding it to my shelf! I ended up titling this one "Days Go By," after the Keith Urban lyric. It seemed appropriate. Here's a couple of photos of it, all finished up...
It was really fun working in a grid format - something different for me...
I also loved the larger format (81/2 x 11")...
I finished off the back cover by pasting in the aforementioned Keith Urban lyric...
While I was at it, I put the finishing touches on two other journals. My Soul Journal...
and my "Good Things Daily" journal...
So here they all are now, in their new home on my shelf. Journals 1 - 5 of 2011...
Tomorrow I will share my first entries in my two new journals! When one journal closes, another one opens, right?
Thanks for visiting and see you then!
You ocntinue to give me inspiration, love your albums the look fantastic
ReplyDeleteWow, 5 journals so far! I was pleased to be on my 2nd for this year! I love the variety of yours, and the way they look on your shelf. Inspiration to work more in mine! Thx
ReplyDeleteWay to go Michelle. I have yet to finish one (Well I did finish that one we did with Marit's first class, so I take that back.) One moleskine sketchbook is very soon to be filled. Then I can get a new one.
ReplyDeleteOooh... you go with the speed of light dear!!! 5 journals filled already, wowzah!!! They all look great! And I didn't know the song/lyrics you showed (days gone by...) I will look it up and copy the text, I'm tempted to use the lines too... so true and well said!
ReplyDeleteWhat treasures your journals are! It's so great to follow along as you create them and I know what you mean about the good feeling when you finish something - and then you are open to start a new adventure!
