The annual ICAD challenge is run by the talented Tammy Garcia of Daisy Yellow. The idea behind it is not to create masterpieces, but to get you creating regularly. She provides optional weekly and daily prompts throughout the challenge. I decided it would be fun to follow the prompts. Here is how my first week turned out...
Weekly prompt: Doodling and drawing.
I mainly used tombow markers and my pitt pens for all the cards. Additional supplies are noted below each card.
Day one: Chevron...
(used pan pastels to shade around the outside of the sheep)
#2: Carnival...
#3: Draw a map... (I went for a mindmap of the challenge itself)
#4: Mailbox...
#5: Owl...
#6: Taxi...
(added a promo image from the internet, and some typed words)
#7: Periodic Table...

ReplyDeleteI always love your work and your colors and I think its cool that we are both doing this crazy ICAD thing! I need to step outside my comfort zone and do art I don't usually do, since its all about the practice...You are always so brave with your art!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, I love the map and the lamb.
ReplyDeleteAwesome ICADs! Love your interpretations and think the taxi one is especially funny. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun that you play along too, I love seeing what you do with the prompts (Like you, I decided to stick to the prompts also.) I especially like what you did with the periodic table (I had 'problems' with that one... some prompts really force you to think further and stretch yourself, which is difficult but a good thing!) Enjoy your weekend dear friend, color your days! May I suggest orange...:)
ReplyDeleteOh is it ICAD time again? I start and never finish. Shall I try again? Maybe so. I enjoyed seeing yours
