Crystal Bowersox at Scrapping The Music...

Hey there everyone!  It's calendar-changing day!  Yeayyy!  I love the start of each month - it's almost like a mini-new year's day!  I'm in the midst of re-organizing my scraproom (yet again - lol), and I am loving the idea of a fresh, clean room to work in!

The first of the month also means that the new challenges are up at Scrapping The Music, and we also welcome a new design team member - Laury!

The song we are featuring is one by Crystal Bowersox called "Ridin' With The Radio." I love this song!  Check out the video...

and here's what I created...
My husband has the kindest heart around, and I love this picture of him, cuz it really shows it. I used the Noel Mignon "Summer Wind" kit for this one.

The prompt this time around is:
What's your favorite instrument? Do you or someone you love play one? Scrap about it! Is there one you wish you could play? Let's hear about it!

My poor parents paid for 10 years of piano lessons for me and I was a terrible student.  I loved music, but I wanted to play the guitar, like John Denver, or at least learn Beatles songs.  I couldn't see the value in Baroque, which was what my teacher insisted on.  "If you learn your Baroque, I will teach you the Beatles."  So I would try, but my teenage heart had a hard time embracing it. Mrs. Lange was a good egg, and she put up with a lot from me.  Now, of course, I wish I would have paid attention.  Hindsight is 20/20 I guess.

Come on over and play along with us!  Check out the challenge here!

  1. Hi Michelle, so happy to see your post! What a sweet one of your husband, he does look so kind. I like all the layering and colors.

I love when you bring older pictures into the mix. Look at your looooong hair, too cute! I always wanted to play the guitar and still want to. Thanks for sharing the funny story on your piano lessons. Love the layers and writing on this one too.
