Hi everyone! I've been missing this blog and all of you, and it's oh so good to be back!
I look back at the summer and how many projects I was trying to juggle and realize that it was a bit too much - I don't know what I was thinking! I am prone to FOMO, and have a tendency to sign up for wayyyyy too much. (anyone with me on that?) It was a good learning experience, and I'm trying to be better about it. Here's a quick update...
I finished the 100-day Project! I got derailed a few times, so it took me a little longer than it should have; but I got back on track and I'm really proud of myself for that. It was inspiring to create alongside so many other people, committed to this goal of doing something (anything they choose) for 100 days in a row. I made some new friends, along the way, and I will definitely do it again next year!!! Here's a pic of my 100th Art Journal Page for the project...
You can see all 100 pages here, or by searching #100daysofjournalingforshelley on instagram.
I did not, on the other hand, finish the "Index-Card-A-Day" project. It was going at the same time as the 100 day project, and I realized doing both was too difficult.
Mixed Emotions - (the online art journaling workshop that I teach with Marit Barentsen), finished up on October 8th. It was an awesome group of students - enthusiastic and so supportive of one another; and I really feel good about how it went! Lots of fun and lots of beautiful art was created! Thank you so much to Marit and all of the students for making it so special!
So, what have you all been up to? Let me know in the comments - I'd love to hear!
Hugs from chilly Minnesota!

I'm glad to see you back on your blog Michelle, and with such a fun and happy page! Yes, you DID IT! Congratulations on 100 pages! Teaching the workshop with you was again fun and so inspiring. I'm now looking forward to the top 2000 party... it's that time of year when the leaves fall off that I begin thinking about it and look forward to it. Right now, I'm playing with art journal pages for Documented Life Project (I'm way behind!) and fiddling around in my other journals... nothing special going on, just being creative for myself. Love it! Enjoy Friday and your weekend sweetie!
Congrats on completing the 100 days! That's awesome!! Glad to see you back here!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratz. I tried to start either 100 days or icad. I couldn't. I'm upset in myself but I try to not to think about it.
Congratulations Michelle! You are a great and inspiring artist. I have many projects. I will do NaNoNouMo in November. I take "Bloomin' Doodles" class with Joanne Sharpe. I will start Artfully Inspired Life with Joanne in 2016 and start "Life Book 2016"... Maybe this is too much. We'll see. I have free time (being retired). Thank you for sharing on your beautiful blog.
Thanks for visiting everyone!
Marit - I am excited about the Top 2000 party too! Can't wait!
Julie - thanks for the congrats!
Cody - Don't beat yourself up - those challenges are really hard to complete! Congratulations for trying!
Pierrette - Have fun with the Bloomin Doodles class! I haven't taken that one but all of Joanne's classes are such fun! I will be right there with you at NaNoNouMo and Artfully Inspired Life 2016! Yeayyy!
YAY, Michelle! I am so happy about you being back! I missed seeing your wonderful art here and on Facebook! You did an amazing job with your 100 days project - each one is inspiring and oh so beautiful!!! Ok, tell me more about the Top 2000 party, too!!!!!
Thanks Sharon! I appreciate that so much! The top 2000 party is hosted by Marit Barentsen between Christmas and New Years. You would love it because it's music-oriented! I will post more about it on the blog soon. I hope you join in!
