It's A Perfect Day! New Song's Up at Scrapping The Music!

The new song for the week is up at Scrapping The Music! It's "Perfect Day" by Hoku. Come on over and show us your layout for a Perfect Day!

Ahhhh The Inspiration of Spring...

"Listen as the day unfolds,
challenge what the future holds, try and keep your head up to the sky." ~Des'ree

Spring has finally arrived in our neighborhood and I am blown away by the beauty of it all. Among my favorite sites are the pink and white flowering trees everywhere. I can see this site out my scraproom window:

I loved spring in the city because of all the action - the streets come alive with people, and there are things happening everywhere. Now that I am in the country (outer ring suburb, but to this city girl it's the country!) Spring is beautiful for different reasons! Opening up the windows and watching the cats delight at the birds and the squirrels is a new thrill!

Michael and I went shopping in the sunshine yesterday and came home with this beautiful birdbath - we set it right outside my scraproom! Can't wait for the birds to arrive!
We also bought these flowers:
It was so much fun digging in the dirt and making flower boxes together! Look - we made three of these!
All the colors outdoors make me want to create something bright and colorful! I'll be back later with the new Scrapping the Music Song of the Week! For now, go checkout the slide show for this week's song - "Breathe In, Breathe Out"...

Angie is from Australia and she designs her own Acrylic Stamps - how cool is that! Check out her website where you can see all of her unique styles! They totally rock! I will be sure to post my first creation made with Spirit!

Castle To The Crown - This Week's Song at Scrapping The Music!

The song for this week at Scrapping The Music has a special place in our hearts, because it was created by Jess's husband and his band "Hits and Mrs." The song is called "Castle To The Crown" and it's a great one about political unrest - powerful lyrics and a great beat! Here's my layout for the week:

Stop on by and play along!

National Scrapbook Day Fest at SiStv ROCKED!!! I Can't Believe I Participated in 17 Challenges in Two Days!

Oh my word! I just got up from a four-hour nap! Aargh. I'm sorry this post is so late! It's Thursday already - where did the time go? Ever since National Scrapbook Day weekend all I seem to be able to do is sleep! Did anyone else that's reading this participate in the online challenges at SiStv over the weekend? WOWZA That was a party! They had a new challenge every hour for two straight days. It was so much fun! I am in awe at the amount of planning that must have happened to pull off such an extravaganza. Talk about INSPIRATION! So - I participated in 17 of the challenges - worked like a mad woman but had the time of my life. The thing that was so cool about these challenges was - each one was so different. I really felt like they stretched me creatively. Wow. Can't say enough good about it. Check out my gallery at SiStv to see pics of each of the projects. I can't seem to get them to post here without looking all caddywampus for some reason!

Next post will be about the new song which is up at Scrapping The Music! Well actually, it's not so new anymore since it's already THURSDAY! I feel like Rumpelstiltskin - aside from doing my day job, I slept thru most of the week!
