I'm Bubbling Over With Things to Share...

Hey everyone how's it going? I'm having so much fun right now I can't even stand it!!! Lots going on and lots to share!!!

Guess what? I am the guest host right now over at the Artful Amblings blog, (aka A Year In The Life of an Art Journal)!!! I'm so excited about this! At A Year In The Life, we have a new prompt on the 15th and 30th of each month. The host has both a word prompt and a technique prompt.

The word I chose is "dream," and the technique is using salt with watercolors. Here's the page I came up with...
I would absolutely LOVE it if you come on over and say hi! And if you play along that's even better!!! There's a complete tutorial with pics and instructions for the salt technique and it's super easy and fun, I promise!!! Click here to go directly to my blog post.

The second thing I want to share is my fave band layout for the current Fave Things challenge! I did my layout about Pearl Jam because they are one band that has consistently inspired me for the last twenty years (wow, has it been that long? amazing). Here's my layout...
When their album TEN came out, I was mesmerized by Eddie Vedder's roaring voice and the depth of their lyrics. They dealt with a lot of heavy subjects in a very thought-provoking way. I played that album so much I wore it out. That was 1991. Since then they have continuously amazed me with their music. It's always evolving - less dark now than in earlier years, but equally as meaningful. I saw them in concert in 2006 and it was mind-blowing. Here are a few videos of theirs from over the years...

1991: An award-winning video from TEN. I've watched this one a million times:
Jeremy

1998: Powerful statement with amazing animation and a groovy sound that makes me want to jump up and down:
Do The Evolution

2009: This makes me close my eyes and appreciate everyone I love even more than I already do:
Just Breathe

I could link about a million videos, but I will stop with this last one that sums up Pearl Jam pretty well, I think. Check it out:

What Does Pearl Jam Mean To You:

Thank you to Eddie and the boys for all you have given and continue to give to the music world!

So, who is your favorite band??? Come on over to the Fave Things blog and play along with us! Click here to go to the challenge!

Tomorrow I will be back to share my new handmade planner! Thanks so much for visiting!

Aloha, I get the blog post too from Artful Amblings and I KNEW that was your dream layout without being able to find your name for confirmation. I just looked at the word dream and said to myself, that's Michelle, the wild Minnesota woman!!! I know you don't have a big black dog, but I was convinced. And today I found out I was right. I think it's pretty amazing that you so have your own inimitable style. Way to go, Michelle!!! Candy

I'm already thinking about "dreams"... LOVE your blogpost overthere AND here and your dream layout is amazing. I saw other pages from you "in the night" and you are a master in putting the "night atmosphere" onto a page!!! The pearl jam layout is gorgeous too! Too bad I could only watch one video (just breath) "This video contains content of VEVO', who because of copyright infringement has been blocked for your country." But I will listen to the songs in another way... I'll find them! Have a great day my friend!!! P.S. Thanks for the support on the SC board!
