Still Going...

I don't mind telling you that scrapbooking is really hard right now. I start looking through my photos and my mom is everywhere - I really miss her. I'm so glad I've got those photos, and the memories to go along with them, but scrapping will have to wait awhile I guess.

Journaling, however, is keeping me going. It keeps my mind busy and the prompts keep me creating, which is so helpful. I've got a few new pages that I'm excited to share with you!

Here's another page from the "30 Days Of Lists" prompts...

What's In My Bag
I didn't realize I had so many packs of gum in there - LOL.

and a few pages in my "Good Things Daily" journal...
(the business card flips open and there is journaling behind it)

does anybody recognize that tape with the Q's on it? It's from Quizno's sandwich shop, which is where we had lunch! Who knew that they had their own deco-tape? I just had to use it of course!

This was a truly exciting find at the consignment store!

Thanks for the advice about the books and classes from my last post! I just ordered all three books!!! HA. I couldn't decide. And I think I am actually going to take both classes too! I will probably sign up in the next day or two. I will let you know how it all goes...

Thanks for visiting and I will see you again soon!

You have the photos, and you won't forget the memories, so just know in your heart that the scrapping time will come.... and it'll be at the right time for you. I think you can't rush or push yourself at times like this, you just have to be true to what feels right in this moment. You are so lucky that you enjoy a variety of arts and I'm so pleased that the journalling is helping. Take care, x

I'm glad the journaling helps you keep busy! I haven't made the 'bag-list' yet, I'm a bit afraid of what comes out of my purse... eeeck...

Michelle,
Just wanted to drop in and say that I've been thinking of you. Haven't been commenting much lately - have been crazy busy!
...What you said about it being hard to scrapbook about your mom - that's totally understandable. I still find it hard to scrap about my dad, and he's been gone 7 years. Put no pressure on yourself. You'll get things scrapped in due time.
Also, just wanted to say that you are SOOOO creative and I'm always so inspired by you! Love the "In My Bag" page!!

Hi Michelle, found your blog a couple months ago and have been checking in regularly. Next week is the first anniversary of my mom's death so I understand what you are going through. I think I have cried more this month looking back than I did at the time of her death. Your blog has helped me, hopefully it is as healing for you.

Thinking of you and continuing to pray for your peace, especially this day, as my husband's mother passed away very early this morning--and it brought back a flood of memories of losing my own dearest mom unexpectedly 18 years ago. It's a tender time and will continue to be so for you, and for us, for days to come. May you find solace and comfort in journaling and eventually be able to return to scrapping, if you choose, at a time that's right for YOU. Blessings, kindred spirit.

As soon as I saw your title to your post and starting reading, that same empty gut feeling hit me. It was the hardest thing for me to get past losing my Mom. I wasn't function. I'm so glad you have your art journaling and can get an outlet from that. Keep taking care of yourself!
